Challenge

Before working with ExpressMed Partners, Embr Labs had a well established presence on Amazon US, but faced challenges as it sought to expand to international markets like Canada and the UK. These challenges included managing cross-border logistics and fulfillment, navigating regulatory and compliance requirements, and introducing new products to the local market.

Through ExpressMed Partners, Embr Labs successfully launched on the Amazon Canada and Amazon UK marketplaces. ExpressMed Partners serves as the Importer of Record, managing the complexities of cross-border shipments and ensuring compliance with all customs regulations. Leveraging international Fulfillment By Amazon services enabled product Prime-eligibility, ensuring fast shipping, easy returns and increased customer trust.

APPROACH

Due to differing regulatory standards across marketplaces, the ExpressMed Production team collaborated closely with Amazon’s compliance teams to ensure Embr’s products adhered with local safety standards, obtained the necessary documentation, and met the packaging requirements specific to each territory. With international marketplace eligibility in place, the ExpressMed Partner’s Operations team analyzed the most efficient process to transport product overseas and effectively manage the intricacies of tax codes and customs. 

Once compliance and logistics were established, the brand management team began A/B testing, tailoring the marketing and messaging within the listings to address specific pain points per customer demographic. The ExpressMed Partners team continues to gather marketplace data to identify high-ROI keywords, enhance customer experience with educational content, and maintain Embr’s competitive edge as the brand grows in these regions.
